The Devil Went Down to Knoxville

Nick Saban took his Crimson Tide to Neyland Stadium and for the first time in his career at Alabama was defeated by the Tennessee Vols. And hell broke loose in Knoxville, from Jalin Hyatt going HAM to the refs going AWOL to a last-second game-winning FG. Josh Heupel exorcised the demon and got a nice cigar as a reward.

In Saban’s previous 15 seasons at Alabama, the Crimson Tide has only gone undefeated twice. So hiccups aren’t foreign but it’s wild to me that so many are questioning every method after something relatively normal happens. By the amount of blaming happening in the boards, it may help Bama fans to know they aren’t the only big losers from Saturday.

The blame for the loss is going on the coaches (for a few reasons), players and refs.

Seriously Alabama fans, we have to do better. If we’re going to freak out, let’s get weird-stupid not Bill O’Brien-stupid.
