Putting Alabama On Notice

So. Y’all think you’re hot, huh? Think because Saban has won six national championships before it means anything.

*DING DONG* THE DYNASTY IS DEAD

Look, I’m a Texas fan. When it comes to powerhouse programs collapsing at the end of a legendary coach’s career, I know a thing or two. And I’ve seen this story before.

Coordinator turnover? Check.

Sudden change of offensive philosophy? Oh I’ve seen it.

T.S. Eliot famously said, this is the way it ends, not with a bang but with a whimper. And brother, the Crimson Tide are whimpering.

Poooooor Bama. Sooooo underestimated. Sooooo overlooked. Y’all are so damn spoiled. Talk to some dudes with some years behind them. Ask them about the Mike Shula era or even Mike DuBose. You sit there in your ivory tower. Psh. You’ve never felt true despair.

But you will after this Saturday. Sark is coming for revenge.

Ya. It’s just a defense led by Kevin Steele. The same Kevin Steele that Sark dropped 45 points on in 2019 and 42 points on in 2020. The same Kevin Steele who was 52nd in opponent yards per game last year at Miami. The same Kevin Steele who had a top 30 defense only once in five years at Auburn. Gimme a break.

Ok first of all, how dare you. Vince Young?!?!! Keep that name out your damn mouth.

Second of all, it’s good to see the Tide fans are keeping expectations at a reasonable level after one game.

Y’all just believe anything you read on the internet, huh? You really think Gary Patterson was literally the ONLY reason? Not the 15 penalties you committed? Not the fact that you went 5-15 on 3rd downs? I thought elephants didn’t forget.

I will say one thing, most of y’all still show love to Sark and for that I thank you.

I got respect for Saban too but on Saturday, Texas is going into Bryant Denny and doing something no non-conference team has done since Saban’s first year in Alabama – WIN.

31-21 Texas.

On that, we can all agree.
