Welcome back y’all. We’re just getting started with the offseason but the Transfer Portal is in full swing. This week we have G5s looking at P5s, guys looking for playing time, and QBs finding new homes. Most importantly, we have the best of your favorite message board takes on all things transfers.

Jestin Jacobs – Linebacker – Iowa → Oregon
Mr. Jacobs was a two-year starter for the Hawkeyes but suffered an injury that kept him out of most of the 2022 season. He comes to Oregon highly decorated, a former 4-Star recruit with 63 tackles, 1 Int, and 1 FF.
Landing Jacobs is big after losing Justin Flowe to the Portal along with several other depth pieces.
And if there’s one true way to gauge talent, it’s judging the misery of a player’s former team.
Traeshon Holden – Wide Receiver – Oregon → Alabama
Ducks Fly Together!
Oregon grabbed not one, but two big time transfers on Sunday. On the other side of the ball, the Ducks added a big time player, Traeshon Holden from Alabama.
Again, this one is a big commitment for Oregon after losing D’onte Thornton to the Portal. Duck fans feel like they got the better end of the deal here as well.
Misery index check?
Pretty good, Oregon.
Jantzen Dunn – Safety – Ohio State
The Buckeyes signed three safeties in the 2021 class: Andre Turrentine, Jantzen Dunn, and Jaylen Johnson. Turrentine transferred to Tennessee in May, Jaylen entered the Portal on December 5th, and now Dunn enters the portal. All three gone.
Though most Ohio State fans don’t really think Dunn would have been helpful anyways.
Aaron Anderson – Wide Receiver – Alabama
Another week, another Alabama receiver enters the portal. Unlike the last few entrants, Bama fans are not thrilled to see this one go.
Things are bad down in Tuscaloosa.
Grayson McCall – Quarterback – Coastal Carolina
Chanticleers legend, Grayson McCall is officially leaving the Coast. After 4 years, 8,000 yards, and 78 touchdowns McCall is moving on.
Auburn is the leader in the clubhouse for Grayson’s services and will host him this weekend.
We’ll keep an eye out on this one.
Drake Maye – Quarterback – North Carolina
Mr. Maye was rumored to throw his hat into the ring but last week announced he would actually be staying at North Carolina with a twitter post: “Could never leave this place, I’m a Tar Heel.”
Tar Heel faithful are so excited they’re already donating more money.
Graham Mertz – Quarterback – Wisconsin → Kentucky (Maybe)
Mertz is another 3-year starter looking for a new home and he’s (possibly) found one in Kentucky. He (allegedly) transfers to the Wildcats with over 5,000 yards. Excuse the parentheticals, but this one isn’t “official” official yet.
When it does become official, he won’t exactly be getting the warmest welcome.
Wisconsin fans didn’t have anything nice to say either unfortunately.
Poor guy.
Theo Wease – Wide Receiver – Oklahoma → Missouri
A former five-star recruit, Wease entered the portal a few weeks ago. He made his decision official this past weekend and will join the Tigers.
This is the second big time receiver the Tigers grabbed. They added top high school recruit Luther Burden last week.
Austin Stogner – Tight End – South Carolina → Oklahoma
Speaking of former Oklahoma players, one former player is once again a current player. Austin Stogner was a Sooner from 2019 to 2021, grabbing 8 touchdowns and over 600 yards. He transferred out to South Carolina last year, following his quarterback Spencer Rattler, but the prodigal son returns again.
As Oklahoma fans are wont to do, everything is a tell tale sign of Lincoln Riley being a terrible person, and Stogner’s recommitment is no different.
George Rooks – Defensive Line – Michigan
Rooks was a big time recruit a few years ago but struggled to get playing time in two years with the Wolverines. Michigan boards were more confused than upset.
